Hy!

snip...
5.3 Configuration through a Central Server
Grandstream IP phones can be automatically configured via a central provisioning
system called Grandstream Automated Provisioning System (GAPS).
With GAPS, a service provider or an enterprise with large deployment of IP phones can
easily manage the configuration and service provisioning of individual devices remotely
and automatically via a central server. GAPS uses enhanced (NAT friendly) tftp and
other communication protocols to communicate with each individual IP phone even if
the phone is behind a NAT.
GAPS must be used to support automated configuration of an IP phone. To enable this
feature on the phone, the user just needs to enter the IP address of GAPS server in the
tftp server field of the configuration screen. Then power cycle the phone.
For details on how GAPS works, please refer to the documentation of GAPS product.

@Sammy:

GAPS stand for Grandstream Automated Provisioning System.

GAPS have 3 different versions, GAPS ISP(with unlimited user base), GAPS Enterprise(with 2000 user limit), GAPS Lite, which does not have user provision interface, it accept a text format input file and convert it to the configuration file for our client, it costs.

2. GAPS Function and Feature(For GAPS ISP and GAPS Enterprise)

Following are the features that GAPS ISP and GAPS Enterprise can provide:

1) Central User Configuration Management Interface.

While Grandstream product provided simple and easy to configure web interface to consumers, it will be quite a burden to large ISP or Enterprise to configure each of their customer’s Grandstream product. The interface will provide the ISP or large enterprise system administrator to manage their user centralized, allows the system administrator to organize the customer configuration into groups so that they can assign different configuration data to them.

Thus, to the end user, it will be truly plug and play.

2) NAT Friendly TFTP server.

Most of the time, user will use some kind SOHO router and it will generally block the TFTP traffic and GAPS TFTP can make the 2 side communicate through the NAT.

3) Remote User Client management.

GAPS will allow system administrator to manage their user’s Grandstream product remotely, it allow the system administrator to collect the product firmware info, to reboot the product for firmware upgrade, etc.

4) More features to come.

GAPS will have features like message broadcasting for a specific user group, interface for end user self management, etc.

3. What is GAPS LITE?

GAPS LITE is lighter version of GAPS which provide a script function for generating Grandstream Product’s configuration file and it also comes with the NAT friendly TFTP server.

4. GAPS System Requirements.

System hardware require a 2.4 GHz CPU, 1GB RAM and 120 GB HD.
GAPSLITE require less CPU and RAM as well as HD.
GAPS can be run in Unix/Linux platform, preferably, Red Hat Linux.
GAPS is a JAVA based server application

naja wenn du was neuers dazu raus findest mail is [email protected] thx

PS:  SPAM DANN SETZTS WAS

Hallo,

herzustellen:
http://grandstream.com/configurationtool.html

Dietmar
