Hallo allerseits!
leider hat das Kompilieren bei mir nicht so gut geklappt...

Nach einer längeren Zeit, wo alles schon sehr gut zu scheinen begann, habe ich eine Fehlermeldung bekommen - hier die letzten Zeilen:

Zu den Beteiligten:
1. Olle FritzBox Fon WLAN 7141

4. meine Wenigkeit, die sich bemüht hat alles richtig auszuwählen und abzutippen

...und wie's gemacht wurde:

habe mir zuerst die Anleitungen auf FREETZ gelesen und danach sowohl die fehlende Umgebung in Ubuntu nachinstalliert wie auch Freetz-1.4.4 heruntergeladen.
mit makemenuconfig habe ich dann die gewünschte Konfiguration gewählt (Datei ist im Anhang als .txt angehängt)
make ausgeführt und die verbose(2) Ausgabe gespannt beobachtet
geflucht, gelesen, überprüft, nochmal versucht... und weiter geflucht

Und die Fragen: was habe ich übersehen und wie krieg ich's zum laufen?

Der tar segfault vornedran wäre natürlich auch noch von Interesse gewesen...

Was nutzt du jetzt als Build-System?

...bin mir nicht sicher ob du mit tar segfault meinst ob es beim unzippen Probleme gab, aber falls ja, dann verlief alles recht gut, bis diese Fehlermeldung auftauchte. Und gebaut wurde es auf der erwähnten Ubuntu-Maschine, aber ich denke, dass du damit auch was anderes gemeint hast?

Was ich noch als mögliche Ursache dazu ziehen würde ist, dass meine FritzBox mit einem extra LAN Kabel unter 192.168.178.1 eingebunden ist und die Pakete wurden beim Kompilieren über meine NETGEAR unter 192.168.0.1 heruntergeladen. Ich dachte, dass es eben keine Rolle spielt, aber vielleicht irre ich mich da...

ja, hätte ich das gewusst...

die Ausgabe lief für gute 10minuten und ich habe es nicht in eine Datei gespeichert... somit kann ich es nicht mehr rekonstruieren, aber bis zu diesem Platz gab es soweit ich bei dieser ZeilenFlut nichts übersehen habe, keine sonstigen Fehlermeldungen. Eben das übliche herunterladen und verarbeiten...

Ich versuche das Ganze nochmal von Vorne und schick die Ausgabe in eine Datei, aber vielleicht gibt es irgendwelche Ideen aus dem bereits Vorhandenen, woran es liegen könnte. Dann würde ich es überprüfen und das 2x anders machen.

Die erste Zeile oben, die mit bff13000 anfängt, ist die letzte Zeile von einer Liste der Speicheraufteilung eines Prozesses. Davor sollte sich der Name dieses Prozesses finden und ein Hinweis darauf, was passiert ist.

Selbst wenn vieles schon weggescrollt ist, sollten zumindest noch 24 Zeilen am Bildschirm sein.

@olistudent: ja, der Prozess ist natürlich kürzer, weil die anderen Sachen schon vorhanden sind, aber an dieser Stelle hält er auch wieder an mit der selben Fehlermeldung. Kann man beim Erstellen von tar das strip weglassen? dann würde man vermutlich auch Namen von Funktionen beim tar und nicht nur bei der Library sehen.

Generell sollte es im tar keinen buffer overflow geben.

ok, mit dem Patch wurde das tar-Problem behoben, aber nun scheint ja das Kernel-Image zu groß zu sein... heißt das, dass ich auf ein Paar von den Goodies in der .config verzichten muss, oder gibt es auch dafür ein Patch?

das wäre jetzt auch mein Versuch gewesen. Bis jetzt habe ich immer alles statisch eingebunden, damit es keine "Ladekonflikte" gibt, aber nun, wo das Ding aus allen Nähten zu platzen scheint... ma gucken... und somit, danke erstmal an alle Beteiligten! Ich werde mich noch mal melden wie's geklappt hat

Das ist jetzt aber blöd. Ich wollte mit dem Patch nicht deinen Fehler beheben, sondern eine aussagekräftigere Fehlermeldung bekommen...

Obwohl, es läuft noch nicht auf der Box...
Die Ausgabe, nachdem das Nötige ausgelagert wurde sah dann endlich so aus:

Ich glaube, die Lösung steht hier.

(Anders als dort beschrieben, tritt das Problem aber nicht nur auf 64-Bit Systemen auf).

Danke für den Hinweis. Da Freetz jedoch das Host tar verwendet können wir den Patch nicht einfach aufnehmen.

edit: Der Bugreport bezog sich auf Freetz-1.1.x. Da könnten wir den Patch aufnehmen.
edit2: Da gehts aber nur um das Erstellen von Archiven. Der Reporter hat das aber beim entpacken.

Ich hatte das Problem an der gleichen Stelle wie der Reporter (2. MODIFY) und der Patch hat geholfen.

Ja, habs gerade gemerkt. Der Bug tritt beim Umkopieren der Dateien auf und da wird "tar create" verwendet. Ich check den Patch ein.
