Habe folgendes Problem.

Habe nun zwei Dateien.

7490_06.30-freetz-devel-14101.de_20170224-110134.image
7490_06.30-freetz-devel-14101.de_20170224-110134.image.in-memory

Hatte ich vorher noch nie gehabt.
Mal einige Sachen durchlesen

@frater:
The FRITZ!Box router, on which I've realized or noticed this unwanted update first, is used on a Swisscom access and has not configured any (active) TR-069 settings - no, the provider could not announce this update.

But the device still uses the (more or less) original firmware and no Freetz image ... if you've removed important parts needed to discover new versions and/or to download them (I've no idea, what "fwupdate" means with context of an AVM component or Freetz (remove) patch), you could be safe from unwanted updates.

But afaik the URL to download a new firmware image isn't one with TLS - so removing of "httpsdl" doesn't provide any extra level of protection in my opinion.

BTW: If "fwupdate" means the AVM binary with name "tr069fwupdate" and you removed this one from your 7390 image too (or it was done by Freetz), you need to (re-)integrate the WLAN plugin image into the firmware or your WLAN will never functioning again (as you wrote in another thread as experience). "tr069fwupdate" is needed to unpack and activate these plugins and if you didn't found a lot of unused space in a 7390 device, it's a really bad idea to reintegrate about 1.5 MByte from a (really working) plugin into the own firmware again. If you stop removing "tr069fwupdate" from your Freetz images, you could possibly use WLAN again with 7390 devices and a firmware version greater than 06.5x (intl.) - as long as you do not remove other needed parts too.

Hi PeterPawn,

So my WLAN is not working because of my choice to remove those packages?
Because I really need some extra memory so I can integrate the Zabbix agent on those Freetz routers I'm removing all that I can.
Intuitively I also thought I would have less of a chance of provider meddling by removing those packages. Never did I really properly investigate this.

I have those packages removed for many years and WiFi was never affected as far as I can remember.

I will stop removing those and will maybe be able to upgrade all the 7390 routers finally.....
Some really need an update because they suffer from the "lame DHCP clients problem".
I need >6.5 for that....

@frater:
Yes, parts of the WLAN support have (been) moved into a separate plugin ... have a look into "plugin.update" from a firmware image with the "tar" command. You need the mentioned binary to validate and start any plugin images, as long as they're present as separate file(s) in "/var/media/ftp" storage. At least AVM uses this space (on flash memory for NAS functions) now and it's not necessary any longer to add an extra USB storage stick to store those plugins, as it was the case earlier.
