hi haveaniceday, tryed to reset to factory setting but nothing happens... tryed also to flash with a modified "install" containing -echo annex A- instead of -echo "annx A"-.... but it gives an error... I think my beautifull 7170 will come back on e-bay this week tx for your help and bye...

I cutted an ethernet rj45 cable and directly connected the two central pins (blue and blue-white) to the two central pins of a phone cable... but I think the problem is the patch, since I cannot get "Annex-A" in the DSL-informationen screen of the modem...

ok, I have flashed the latest firmware from avm and then the file you suggested and now? "ubersicht" says firmware is 29.04.01, but "DSL-informationen" keeps saying "annex b".... any suggestion? tx and bye alessandro
