Fritzbox 7170 change from International to German firmware ?

first of all welcome to this forum! It should be possible to convert your FB to german firmware. Unfortunately I don´t know how, but this thread is about the opposite way, I think you´ll find your answers there.

In the thread http://www.ip-phone-forum.de/showthread.php?t=168956 you'll find exactly what you are looking for - in English written by "babbel00" and in German from myself - supposing that your box is an originally Annex A box

You must rebrand it from now avme (english interface) to avm (german). I recomend to do that with TELEFONICUS archive "fritz_as_avm_newer.tar" (www.ip-phone-forum.de/showthread.php?p=971638#post971638) - upload this like an upgrade. Disregard any warning. Finally you will get a message saying that upgrading was not successful - disregard this either.

BEFORE doing this rebranding download from AVM ftp server (ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon_wlan_7170/x_misc/deutsch) the corresponding German RECOVER-image.exe: FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7170.04.57.recover-image.exe

After rebranding you will NOT BE ABLE to access the interface until you succesfully did a RECOVER with this recover-image. Observe exactly the procedure for the recovery procedure.

After successful recover unplug the box for 2 minutes and plug it in again. You should now have the German interface with fw 04.57 for annex B
