Asterisk 1.2.0-rc1 Released

Folgendes kam gerade über die Mailingliste asterisk-users:

The first release candidate of Asterisk 1.2.0 has been released! It is
available from the ftp.digium.com FTP servers, as well as the Digium CVS
servers (under the 'v1-2-0-rc1' tag).

This release includes a large number of improvements over beta2, including:

* Many bug fixes
* Documentation and sample configuration updates
* New 'stack' applications Gosub/Return/etc.

We ask all interested community members to download and install the
release candidate (on a non-production server) and report their findings
via our bug tracker at bugs.digium.com. Please be sure to read the
UPGRADE.txt file in the distribution before upgrading your server, as
there are a large number of changes that you will need to be aware of
(some of them are not backwards compatible with the 1.0.x releases).

We want to extend our thanks to all the community members whose
contributions have made this release possible; without their support,
testing and other involvement we would not have reached this milestone
so soon! I want to extend special thanks to Russell Bryant and BJ
Weschke who put in many hours in the last two weeks doing 'janitorial'
code updates that nobody else wanted to do. Thanks to you both!

Falls nichts dazwischenkommt wird 1.2.0 nächste Woche released. Im CVS werden jetzt bis zum Release nur noch Bugfixes und Doku-Updates aufgenommen.

*staun* :shock: die 1.2.0-rc1 ist genauso buggy wie die beta-2. Die beta-1 ist von den dreien noch am ehesten ein "release candidate" gewesen. Ich habe immer noch diverse Fehler hier, die einen Einsatz unmöglich machen. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen bei der 1.0.9 oder 1.2.0-beta1 zu bleiben bis tatsächlich ein release der 1.2.0 rauskommt, welches ein paar weniger bugs hat.

Die "janitorial code updates" scheinen eine ganze Menge zerbrochen zu haben, z.B. wurde app_dial.c anscheinend weitgehend umgeschrieben und es haben sich Fehler eingeschlichen.

Also dass das release nächste Woche rauskommt sehe ich nicht... es sei denn sie releasen es wirklich mit diesen ganzen neuen bugs.

Ich hab übrigens eben gelesen, dass nächste Woche auch 1.0.10 released wird.

Hallo Maik,

ja, ich habe schon ein paar eingetragen, wovon einer (Macro in der Dial Funktion funktionierte nicht) gestern noch behoben wurde.

Einen weiteren scheint aber niemand bisher reproduzieren zu können: Bei mir funktioniert die Monitor() Funktion seit beta2 nicht mehr richtig, es wird zwar aufgezeichnet, aber wenn ich mir das soundfile mit z.B. Playback() anhöre, herrscht nur Stille. Das ganze bei einem reinem SIP channel (beide legs):

exten => 555,1,Monitor(gsm,test,m)
exten => 555,2,Dial(SIP/555)

Danach mal test.gsm in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds kopieren und :

exten => 123,1,Playback(test)

Das funktioniert unter 1.2.0-beta1 und vorherigen Versionen einwandfrei. An Playback liegt es nicht, denn unter beta-1 (und früheren Versionen) aufgezeichnete gsm's kann auch rc1 mit Playback() wiedergeben.

Könntest Du das bei Dir mal testen mit 2 SIP legs? Im Bugforum haben es bisher nur Leute mit ZAP channel oder mixed ZAP/SIP ausprobiert und konnten das Problem nicht nachvollziehen.

Brauchst nicht mehr testen, habe den Fehler jetzt gefunden. Ich benutzte die sox Version 12.17.6 , nachdem ich das package removed habe und apt-get install sox neu aufgerufen habe hat sich 12.17.7 installiert (Es gibt wohl sogar schon 12.17.8, aber die hat apt-get mir nicht geholt).

Mit 12.17.7 tritt dieses Problem nicht auf (!)

Komisch nur, dass es mit dem soxmix 12.17.6 bis einschließlich beta1 auch keine Probleme gab...

Ich hasse es..
Warum läuft bei mir nie ein Bristuff sauber durch??
Immer Errors und danach geht nichts..
Bei mir läuft der 1.0.6..
Und das nur weil er mitm SuSE9.3 mit installiert wurde.
(Der 1.0.6 läuft auf jeden fall ganz sauber und stabil...=
Hab grade 1.2.0 getestet..
Kannste vergessen, hat jemand ne Idee warum das nie geht??
Hab schon so viele Howtos und Bugfixes gelesen..
Langsam verzweifle ich..
Hab auch schon verscuht den Asterisk mauell zu compiliren und zu Installieren.
Hat auch nie geklappt...
Kann mir jemand helfen??

Und nu??
Bin grade bei ner Neuinstallation von SuSE9.3 und will das mit dem 1.2.0 nochmal manuell testen..

Muss ich was spezielles beachten bei dieser Version??

Hab SuSE minimal System mit Kernel Quellen, CVS, WGET, Capi4Linux und die Compiler installiert..
Fehlt da noch was entscheidenes?
Bin meistens nach diesem HowTo gegenagen
