Hi,
I hava a problem with my HT486 Rev 2.0
What happened?
I bought a HT486 with firmware 1.0.6.7. I had some trouble with the pass-trough function (with my dutch PSTN provider KPN). I contacted Grandstream tech support and they advised me to upgrade to the newest Beta (1.0.8.12). That worked like a charm.
Because of the fact that the router function didn't work that well i decided to enable the WebUI on the WAN interface and connected the device with the WAN interface in my network. I didn't use the LAN interface....
A few days ago i noticed the 1.0.8.16 firmware and I upgraded my HT486. (i have my own TFTP Server, downloaded the firmware en did the upgrade). After some problems with it i decided to do a reset to factory defaults and connected the device with the LAN interface to my PC (using a straight cable and tried everything also with a cross-cable: both same results).
But i didn't get an ip-address... I tried to use a static address on my pc (192.168.2.2) and connect to the WebUI (192.168.2.1) but I don't get any respons.
I did a check using the checklist on this forum.
Voice Menu works
WAN interface -> does get an dynamically assigned addres
LAN interface -> has a link (i get a 10MBit link on my PC toe) and sometimes the orange led flashes.
It's as if the LAN adapter doesn't get an IP-address...
Contacted Grandstream Support: they ordered me to enter another TFTP server using the voice menu -> same results... after waiting for 15 minutes (as they said) and connecting it to my pc i had the same results.
To be sure i connected it to another PC and had the same results.
Anybody any options?
It could be that the LAN interface stopped functioning after the firmware upgrade, but it could be that it didn't function before i did the upgrade (i didn't use it for a few weeks)
Thanx in advance!
