You have to modify the files before building and flashing the new firmware ( -> with Freetz, keyword "fwmod_custom"). After that, they can´t be modified permanently on the box.

Nope, only the following:
/var - ramdisk, content lost after reboot
/var/flash - small jffs2 flash-partition for settings

Temporarily you could copy the file you want to edit into the ramdisk, edit it there, and "overlay" the original file with the new one, via "mount --bind ...", but the changes are lost after a shutdown.

To get access to the shell on the box you need to enable the telnet server on the box.

is not possivle implement only box_info.cgi script? (patch firmware) The script seems allow specify custom info directly from fritzbox GUI interface?
