Hi everybody and sorry that I write in english, but I am italian and my german is very bad. I have to install freetz on my fritz!box 7390 and the image is divided into 2 files, .image and .external. Can I install .external file on an USB not empty' (in the usb there are already some folders with documents, that I need to share in fritz!nas).
Thank you very much!

Hello

Yes, you can! ;)

If it is (USB Filesystem) NTFS formated, because Linux softlinks are working on it.
I told you this because i have already used .external on a NTFS formated USB-Keydrive.
Put freetz on the box (flash it) and then use freetz webinterface and update firmware.
There is a little link on the page to upload and activate the .external files.
This is only a copy action. No formating and old files on it beeing keept.

good luck & regards
