[Problem] FritzBox 7390 1&1 won't see Annex A DSL line

This is the decisive parameter. It is the reason why the box syncs on an ISDN line and why it does not on an A line. This parameter has to be set to A - I'm not sure if this still can be done by ftp or more simple using [post=971638]"telefonicus" script[/post] as I do have a lot of experience changing annex (living myself in an annex A country) but not yet with a 7390.

As the box before surely worked on ISDN -and thus B- the box conserves this parameter. This parameter even "survives" a recover and the only way to change it is to do it manually.

Unfortunately I saw this thread only today.

I already unset this variable(thanks to skyteddy he told me to do this), now it not exist like in normally FritzBox 7390

also i tried it on other PSTN line , i sent it to my brother he live in other city and it worked fine in PSTN, looks like the problem is on my provider... all other modems work fine on my line but this fritz 7390 can't sync i don't know why... maybe provider have something wrong settings on DSLAM...

I'm sure you already did as you did everything - but just for even more certainty: Did you ever run the 84.05.22 international recover after so much flashing?

To me, too, it seems that the problem would be with your provider.

Yes i'm now on 84.04.22 also tried some other old firmwares.

i think same, but still can't understand why only 7390 can't sync in my line, when all other modems sync without problem,

Sania, the question is not only which firmware actually runs on your 7390 now - but if you ever did a recover with the international recover-fw (84.05.22.-en-es-de-it-fr.recover-image) from avm's ftp server?

Your case gave me the reason to unbox my own 7390-1&1 and do some experiments with the box and some firmwares until finally got it run on my annex a line. The experiences made are the background for my recover question.

It sounds really strange that YOUR BOX runs on other ISDN and Annex A lines without problem. On the other hand any other modem runs without any problem at YOUR LINE.

It's only YOUR LINE and YOUR BOX that do not run together - really misterious!

Yes, i tried everything, 84.05.22 from AVM ftp with AVM recovery tool, also 84.05.22 with ruKernelTool...

yes it's strange, i already 3 weeks everyday searching for the problem but can't find nothing :( ....

Sorry, Sania, do not want to bother you any more, but: there are two different 84.05.22 -FW - a "German" (84.05.22) and an "international" (84.05.22.en-es-de-it-fr). Did you ever recover with the international version?

You don't have to say sorry! there is no problem, of course i trying with international, i know in Germany using only ISDN, and Germany firmware don't have a option to select between annex A and annex B.

-------- UPDATE--------
The problem was, that the provider has configured Annex M as default modulation on the DSLAM, while he did not had Annex M compatible port. So the Fritz Box was tried to connect to Annex M which does not existed!
