Also, ich bin Hollandisch und ich kan kein Deutsch, hoffentlich kannt ihr English.
I have:
- FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7140 Annex A, Firmware version 39.04.26
- Connected via POTS as ADSL2-modem/router.
I am experiencing the following problem:
The only way i can get the box to connect is via "Account information required (PPPoE/PPPoA connection)". I enter my username and password and define the ATM settings according to my provider's instructions. Encapsulation is set to "PPPoA/VC-Mux".
It then connects, but does not receive the automatic DNS-servers. It just sets them to 0.0.0.0. While browsing through this forum I noticed the cfg editors and managed to change the DHCP settings so I don't have to change the DNS on every client. Problem solved you would say.
Not quite... Because the Fritz!Box does not "know" the DNS-servers it cannot convert the NTP server-list-address which is written in the firmware.
This makes several features unaccesible (e.g. Alarm, Night service) and certain lists such as the Call List display incorrect times.
I tried all the other connecting options in various combinations. I then noticed the Gateway-address I receive when connected is in a completely different subnet. The Fritz!Box does not accept this address when I try to enter it manually.
Does anyone know a solution for this problem? Cause besides this Fritz!Box rox and I want to keep using it.
