Hello,

I would like to set up my OpenStage 40 SIP to work with 2 SIP providers simultaneously. Is it possible? I see only one option to enter SIP address and phone number. I know there should be "multi-line functionality" isn't that what I need?

Thanks in advance for your replies and sorry for English...

Multiline is used for OpenScape Voice only (and might be work (as the optiPoints did) with other server types which can handle multiple line registrations), but no, this is not for registering multiple numbers on different servers.

optiPoint as well as OpenStage also have a feature called "dual-registration". Here the primary-line (or single-line) will also register at a second server (same extension, but different server) and in in case the primary server is not reachable this backup server will be used to deliver a call-request.
Hence, it will be available for incoming calls, but for outgoing calls you cannot use it directly.

I see, thank you. But I cannot use different extension (in case of SIP - different username), meaning to have simultaneously 2 providers, even just for incoming calls?
