question about connecting analog on 7170

i bought a 7170 .. i want to hack it .. and use it on an analoge line

but the DSL/TEL connector is UTP size .. how can i connect my small connect to it?
do i need to buy an convertor? or ...

ok .. do i need to make a UTP connector myself? .. i take the 2 cables of the RJ11 (2 and 3) .. and put them into a UTP connector .. at what position? 1 en 8?

Hi,

usually the FritzBox 7170 is connected with an Y-cable to DSL and telephony. But it's possible to build own cables. You find the pinout of the original cable in the attachment of this posting.
La and Lb should be the pins for analogue telephony. Thats pin 3 and 6 on the connector at the FritzBox. The inner pins 4 and 5 are for DSL, if needed. The outer pins for ISDN.
