Recovery tool problem

I have downloaded the recovery-tool for my Fon WLAN 7050 (anex B) from ftp.avm.de. However I have some problems getting it to work. The following is the result of running the tool:

Searching FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7050 at: 192.168.178.1
One system found! - Detecting the current version.
Could not determine the version!

The box seems to reboot all the time. At least the "network cable unplugged" shows up all the time.

Pinging the box only give "harware error".

Any suggestions on how to bring this wonderful box back to life?

Hello and Welcome in the Forum!

Consider that you need the German Recoverversion.
Separate all other devices from the box, without the PC you want to work with.
Then change the IP of the PC to 192.168.178.100 / 255.255.255.0 with no Gateway!

After that try the Factoryreset with a normal Phone and the Keypad #991*15901590*. Then start the Recovery-Tool again.

BtW, it is possible, that you must try the Recover several times before it will work.

My box is alive again
I guess it helped removing all the cables from the box. I tried running the tool several times yesterday with no luck. After removing all the cables, it was successful the first time. Perhaps I should have thought of that myself .
