Hi.
i am running fbf 7140 with the latest firmware. i did enable telnet through the LAN.
I would like to have access to FBF's console over the internet.
is there any way to do that?

I don't know the 7140; if it's supported by the-construct.com, I'd suggest to »build« a »pseudo-image« there that contains ssh (dropbear) and openvpn. I did that and am now able to access my FB's located in various locations via openvpn, even from Fritzbox to Fritzbox:

this is for ssh as far as i am aware, but how do i enable it?
the domain that the web management of FBF is abcd.dyndns.org

here you are in the special forum section for asterisk on fritzbox

i would say that if you have telnet enabled you can also forward the telnet port to the internet. but this is not secure.

The best way is to do this via dropbear and ssh. i would suggest to use freetz because there you also have a very good gui to configure it.

But note that openvpn and ssh are used for different things

by the way: portforwarding to the fritzbox itselve can only be done via modification of the "ar7.cfg". This is one of the configuration files of the fritzbox.
This portforwarding is not allowed via the avm webinterface.
