Mediatrix residential gateways prove one more time to be an ideal choice for service providers who wish to immediately deploy high-value IP telephony services while allowing their home end-users to simultaneously place phone calls, send/receive faxes and surf the net using one single broadband connection. In addition, Mediatrix residential gateway requires little end-user intervention, as it is auto-configurable, remotely manageable and upgradeable.

“Mediatrix has been closely working with Siemens over the past years to seamlessly integrate our technologies and products into their solutions”, said Stefano Genoni, Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for Mediatrix. “This strategic relationship is moving one step up as we are extending our offering to address the VoIP residential market with our breakthrough gateways. Indeed, combined with Siemens leading edge IP-enabled platforms, our VoIP access devices allow Siemens to provide a complete VoIP solution to telecommunications players such as Swiss-based SOLPA.”

“Mediatrix has been aggressively addressing the booming European VoIP market and this agreement with leading telecommunications partner Siemens represents a key milestone in our geographical expansion strategy”, added Mr. Genoni.

“At Siemens, our goal is to offer the best next-gen solutions on the market, providing our carrier customers the reliable, innovative networks they need to build new revenue streams”, said Alex Suter, Sales Director for SOLPA at Siemens in Switzerland. “Our long-time partner Mediatrix contributes by offering high-quality gateway products, fitting perfectly into our SURPASS residential VoIP solution, with very attractive features and pricing. SOLPA will be able to offer a full, highly attractive portfolio of VoIP services to the Swiss residential market, allowing them to pursue successfully their ambitious growth plans.”

“SOLPA has developed a business model in which we work together with broadband ISPs owning an alternative local loop”, said Felix Moser, Head of Products & Projects at SOLPA. “Our offering is white-labelled and enables these companies to market their first line telephony service under their own branding. It also allows them to offer bundled services together with Internet services and TV & VOD services, known as “triple play” ”, added Mr. Moser. “The Mediatrix residential gateway is an essential part of our broadband service and fulfills specific requirements towards voice quality and features, which, combined with remote management and configuration functionality, allow the end users to benefit from a real plug & play solution.”
