What is the Packet size sent?

What RTP packet size is sent by the FBF?

Can I change the size? How?

Can I add the codec G.729 to the FBF?

By default the packet size is 30 ms, if I remember correctly. I changed it to 20 ms for all my accounts. I have low pings and a good internet connection. So I don't have any problems using 20 ms. You can change it by editing the file /var/flash/voip.cfg.

Use the FBeditor, import your settings from the box and find "tx_packetsize_in_ms" for each of your VoIP-accounts (starting with "ua1 {").

You can change it and export the settings back to the box with the FBeditor.

Thanks. Did you always have this problem when you changed something? Did you always have to tunr the FBF off and turn it back on again.

I see you also used this to change the codec rules.

Any ideas about using G.729???

The box should reboot automatically after exporting the settings (it takes about 1 minute to reboot). Sometimes it does not reboot but this could happen even without the FBeditor.

If after 1 or 2 minutes nothing happens you can turn the box off and on again and everything is fine.

You can only change the codec order but G.729 is not supported and it has no effect if you enter G.729 in the settings.

Edit: the only supported low bandwidth codec is iLBC.
