7140 Annex A + Firmware Version 30.04.12

Hi,

lese jetzt schon ne weile im Forum bin mir aber immer noch nicht sicher...
aber fuer den fall das das schon mal beschrieben wurde entschuldige ich mich im vorraus ...

benutze seit einiger Zeit die 7140 auf Annex A im ausland und bin am ueberlegen ob es moeglich ist und sinn macht die neue Firmware einzuspielen (alles laeuft gut im Auagenblick).

Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe muss ich zuerst zurueck auf Annex B, dann
das update und dann wieder auf Annex A?!
Fragen also:
- ist das der richtige weg
- muesste die selbe datei die ich zufor benutzt habe um auf Annex A umzustellen auch nach dem Firmware update funktionieren
- lohnt sich das Updaten ueberhaupt oder ist evtl. das Risiko zu gross, das man hinterher eine nicht funktionierenden box hat (nach dem motto - don't fix a working system)
- hat das schon jemand eine 7140 Annex A auf diese Firmware umgestellt?

It is possible to change the 7140 to annex a with the fritz_as_avm_annex_a_kernel_args and the firmware 7140.30.04.12

But in my case the modem won't make a connection with internet??????

With the firmware FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7140.30.04.04 to annex a is there a connextion but a lot of reconnects.

So what firmware you run on annex a ??? and please explain how it runs

I have tested to change to the new firmware 30.04.12 since my last post
and it takes the firmware but DOESN'T work !! - I can't get DSL conenction at all.

I think I read somewhere (maybe this forum or soemwhere else.. sorry I can't remember) that this should be possible again from firmware .15 -
Also I saw that some vendors offer the 7140 for Annex A in other countries to be available soon... so I presume that when these will become available there should be a firmware for Annex A - I would be surprised if there are any changes to the hardware, but I might be wrong.


The working configuration is with Firmware-Version 30.04.02, I have a good connection and no disconnects ....
So until there is a new firmware I will stick with 30.04.02
