report after annex B->A upgrade

I've successfully changed my 1&1 7050 from annex B -> A.

These are my findings.

On our office test line, the line got into sync. At home, my dsl Line didn't sync, though I'm closer to the CO of the provider, and it's the same provider.

Since I work with an ISP, I have the luxuary of having multiple test DSLAM's in the office so I started some testing.

The fritzbox doesn't support T.1413 and G.LITE. GDMT works. If I switch to our brand new adsl2+ dslam, and set the port in auto, the mode gets ADSL2 (not adsl2+). So my conclusion is the patched fritzbox supports ADSL2 and GDMT.

Why the modem doesn't sync at my home? I can only guess (input is welcome). One theory is that our office line is downsynced (too far from CO) and has only GDMT allowed. At my home (a very good quality line) allows multiple modes, and one of these modes gets the patched firmware confused. I am going to ask our provider if it's possible to get my line on the fixed GDMT mode.

another change between mine and the office's line is that on my line, a voicemail signal is activated.

so far my findings, does anyone second my theory?

Hi arne,

you might play a little with the ATM and VPI/VCI parameter. Your provider might
use values which are not tested by the fritz box.
May be somebody can tell you the regular settings of your provider.

I'm employed with an DSL provider, and I am involved in DSLAM testing . So in the office I can test like i want to. Unfortunate my dslline at home is controled by Belgacom.
Since the 7050 is now at home and I'm in the office i cannot check, but is there a way of forcing the 7050 into only using gdmt and not any other dsl modes?

my vc/vp values ar 8/35, but that shouldn't be the reason of not getting into sync.
