Hi

is the 5050 model the same as what avm call "fritzbox fon"?
can this be 5050 converted from annex b german to annex a english (internacional) ?

if dfferent can the so called "fritzbox fon" converted ? whats this model number ?

The "Fritz!Box Fon" is the name of both, the series of products and a specific product. The "Fritz!Box Fon 5050" is one product of that series, but different from the Fritz!Box Fon without number. The 5050 has been end-of-life'd.

Unfortunately, the AVM pages at http://www.avm.de/en/Produkte/FRITZBox/index.html are not very helpful in that respect.

AVM has in its download section a copy of the official Annex A firmware for Fritz!Box Fon: ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon/firmware/english/annex_a/

There is no english firmware for the 5050. You could buy a 7050 instead.
