7170 and GDI printer

My printer HP LaserJet 1000 is a GDI printer, and, according with AVM support i cannot use it in my FB 7170.
This is true ? There is no workaround for this? Any modification ?

You can use the "USB-Fernanschluss" Feature. This will forward the USB Port to your PC.
Con: this is no real printserver, only one PC can connect to the printer the same time

The Fernanschluss (Remote Control Unit) is a link between your PC and the USB Port of the Fritzbox. The data transfer is transparent, means your PC "sees" only a USB port but doesnt recognize, that there are a couple of meters network cable between the PC and the USB port. That implies, that the USB port can only be attached by one PC at the same time.

How the PC recognizes the USB as it own hardware ?
