Hallo zusammen,

heute habe ich meine neue Diva-Karte eingebaut, stolz wie Oskar:))

Nun habe ich sie auch am Laufen, bin aber schwer verwirrt, ob das alles so richtig ist.

Ich habe alles, was mit AVM zu tun hatte, deinstalliert, auch alles was mit isdn4linux zu tun hat. Dann die Treibersourcen von Eicon geladen, ausgepackt, installiert (nachdem ich ein Kernelupdate und neue Quellen gezogen hatte). So weit, so gut. Nun dachte ich mir, es macht vielleicht Sinn, den chan_capi-cm-0.6.1 neu zu kompilieren, da Asterisk nicht mehr starten wollte. Komp. ging aber nicht, weil capi20.h nicht da war. Gegoogelt, festgestellt, man braucht isdn4k-devel. Gesucht nach einem Paket für Suse. Nichts gefunden, da diese wohl Bestandteil des i4l-base - Paketes sind. Also die installiert. Kompilieren ging nicht. Dann capi4linux installiert. Kompilieren ging.

Nun dachte ich mir, deinstallier ich das doch wieder, weil der compile ja durch ist. Siehe da, Asterisk startet nicht mehr. Wieder installiert, Asterisk startet.

Nun habe ich zwei divactrl auf dem Rechner. Einmal die, welche i4l mitbringt, einmal die von Eicon. Anscheinend funktioniert alles, ich kann telefonieren, angerufen werden...alles gut. Aber ist das der richtige Weg ? Ich denke doch nicht, oder ?

SuSE bringt alles für EICON-Karten mit, Karsten Keil von SuSE gibt sich wohl viel Mühe, das zu integrieren. Man kann die Karte auch mit YAST installieren, wenn man möchte. Sollte ich das tun und die Trieber von Eicon rausnehmen ?

Wie kann ich sicher gehen, ob die ganzen Funktionen wie Echocancel usw. aktiv sind ? Ich glaube nämlich, ein Echo gehört zu haben...soll ja eigentlich nicht sein, oder ?

Die Treiber von Eicon sind viel neuer als das, was SuSE mitliefert. Das in SuSE ist ein alter Treiber von mir und auch das divactrl wuerde auf den neuen Eicon Treiber nicht mehr passen.
Mit dem neuen Eicon Treiber hast Du auch ein wizard und start/stop script, so brauchst Du die Dinge von SuSE nicht. Bei den CAPI modulen ist es aehnlich.
Aber so oder so, die libcapi20 wird benoetigt, und zwar nicht nur zum compilieren.
Diese Lib war immer bestandteil von isdn4k-utils, aber es kann sein, dass dies bei SuSE nun unter capi4linux laeuft. Anyway, die libcapi20 von SuSE ist auf jeden Fall richtig.
Ob Echo-Cancel funktioniert, kannst Du an den Meldungen in Asterisk sehen, wenn du den verbose/debug level etwas erhoest.
In der capi.conf von Asterisk muss aber auch alles korrekt eingestellt sein. Z.B. muss fuer den neuen Eicon Treiber 'echocancelold' nicht auf 'yes' stehen.

Ich kann leider nichts über die Echocancellation sehen. Oder bin ich blind (was nicht auszuschliessen ist :) )

echotail ist by default 64, hier kannst Du also noch etwas 'testen'. Ansonsten kann ich dir nur abraten echosquelch zu benutzen, das ist nur eine einfache Art fuer Karten, die kein echo-cancel koennen.
rxgain und txgain bitte nicht in % angeben, sondern bei 100% einfach 1.

In deinem Log ist nichts ueber echocancel, weil keine Verbindung aufgebaut wurde.
echocancel wird erst aktiviert, wenn die Sprachverbindung zustande kommt.

ich habe jetzt festgestellt, dass meine Karte ein rev.01 ist. Könnte ich dadurch irgendwelche Nachteile haben ? War die deswegen so "billig" ?

die Versionen von Firmware, Control Utilities und Hardware der Eicon Diva Server Karten sind schon etwas verwirrend.

Hier habe ich ein divactrl 2.1.1, auf einem anderen Server divactrl 0.9 und aus der Standard Debian Sarge Installation liegt noch ein ungenutztes eiconctrl herum. Die aktuellste Firmware hat sicherlich stets Eicon selbst.

Eine Übersicht der Art dass Karte rev1 bzw. rev2 mit Firmware xy und divactrl n.m zu benutzen ist, scheint es aber nicht zu geben.

Auf http://www.melware.de ist divas 3.0 angekündigt. Gibt es das schon irgendwo zum Download?

Hi,

nochmal zu meinem Echoproblem. Ich habe mal ein debug level 12 mit capi debug in das full-log laufen lassen, da Du sagtest, dass EC nur bei Sprachverbindung eingeschaltet wird. Leider ist das nicht der Fall. Ich kann im Logfile nichts von Echo finden. Beim raustelefonieren habe ich auch weiterhin ein (leises) Echo.

IP200 -> Asterisk -> Eicon Diva --> ISDN

Hast Du vielleicht noch einen Tip für mich, bin ziemlich ratlos, finde auch nichts darüber bei Google oder hier im Forum, bei dem ich ansetzen könnte.

Zu dem Echo-Problem ist die Frage welcher Treiber verwendet wird und ob echocancel in der capi.conf korrekt eingeschaltet ist. Wenn das alles passt, dann muss im verbose 5 log mit capi debug auf jeden Fal was zu sehen sein.

Wenn mich nicht alles taeuscht, dann hat die BRI rev1 folgende features nicht:
- NT-mode
- inter-card-bridging per DMA
- V.90 modem (in besonderen Faellen)
ansonsten gibt es keine Nachteile.
Mir ist klar, dass diese vielen Revisions der divas Module verwirrend sind, aber das liegt daran, dass die Entwicklung ziemlich schnell bei Eicon geht.
Ich empfehle auf jeden Fall den neuen Eicon Treiber zu verwenden. Dieser Status wird im neuen v3 melware divas drin sein, aber den gibt es noch nicht (er ist noch nicht ganz fertig.)

Zumindest ab verbose 4 log:

Den habe ich installiert und mehr oder weniger die Default-Settings bei der Konfiguration übernommen.

Im Log steht bei SPrachaufbau weiterhin nichts über echocancel. Nur über DTMF.

echocancel kann auch 'g164' oder 'force' sein.

@IsiRider: Bei dir wird echocancel gar nicht aktiviert. Da in der capi.conf aber echocancel eingestellt ist, vermute ich der Treiber meldet 'nicht verfuegbar'.
Was meldet denn Asterisk, also chan-capi beim Starten mit hohem verbose level?
(geht auch mit unload, load von chan_capi.so).

Armin hatte ja vermutet, dass der Treiber echocanel als nicht verfügbar meldet.

An der rev1 der Karte liegt das nicht. Bleibt die Frage nach Firmware, Kernelmodulen und Konfigurationstool (divctrl version?). Es wurden hier zwar verschiedene Variannten erwähnt, aber mir ist nicht klargeworden welche nun tatsächlich genutzt wird.

divactrl, Firmware und offensichtlich auch die Module aus dem Eicon Paket. Verisionen der Module abgesehen vom der Version des rpm gibt es meiner Kentniss nach nicht. Da sicherlich alles aus dem gleichen (sicherlich recht neuem) rpm stammt, sollte es da keine Probleme geben.

Kann man echocancel bei der Konfiguration der Karte ausschalten? Das müßte aber explizit geschehen sein, auch nicht anzunehmen.

Wie sehen die Global Options von /usr/bin/capiinfo aus? Müßte etwas wie 0x1f9 sein.

Bei den vielen Konfigurationsoptionen war ich nicht sicher, ob es sich nicht vielleit doch irgendwie ausschalten läßt. Daran liegt es also nicht.

Als Global Option hätte ich 0x1f9 erwartet. Die letzte Zeile des capiinfo Outputs sehe ich als Hinweis auf ein schweres Problem, allerdings ohne richtig etwas damit anfangen zu können.

Mit älteren capi4hylafax Versionen gibt es ein Problem beim Faxversand.

Das betrifft dann aber nur capi4hylafax selbst.

Das Paket von Eicon, das du verwendest, ist das ein source-RPM? Wenn nicht, dann solltest du das aendern.
Das source-RPM ist besser!
Eventuell 'passt' etwas nicht auf deinem System, das wuerde die Fehler erklaeren.

Hallo Armin,

das Paket ist das aktuelle Source-RPM von Eicon. Ist natürlich schwierig bis unmöglich, einen "nicht-passer" auf dem System zu finden, wenn sonst alles glatt läuft.

Ich such mal weiter, hab aber kaum Hoffnung, irgendeine Antwort zu finden. Ansonsten verkauf ich die DIva halt wieder.
