Backlight of the GXP-2020

Hi,

The backlight of my Grandstream GXP-2020 is always on... even when the "Idle" setting is on "0" ... I have the latest firmware.

Anyone else has this problem?

This is a know "problem". The phone does not consider itself idle if there are missed calls in the display. Once you looked at the missed calls and the message on the screen disappears the backlight should turn off.

Even when I have no missed calls, the screen is still on all the time.

PS. What you are descibing is a feature, not a problem. In the "Basic Settings" screen is a setting "Disable Missed Call Backlight" that can be turned on of off as you wish.

OK, then I have no clue. My backlight turns off just fine.

Ups. I even have it turned on. But I remember that I had this problem. So maybe the option is just present in newer firmware versions.

My backlight turns off just fine.

Hmmm, then I guess there is something wrong with my device... I wrote an email to Grandstream support; let's see what they will say about it.
