Callmonitor / callers list.

I would like to add a callers list file to the external disk so that it can be dynamically updated from an external database as I don't want to perform too many updates of the flash memory. Is this possible, or can I create a new source for reverse lookup, i.e. a PHP/ASP query from a locally hosted database.

I am sorry if this has already been answered but I wasn't able to find anything in English.

The location of the callers file is determined by the variable CALLMONITOR_PERSISTENT in /mod/etc/default.callmonitor/system.cfg.
Unless you are using mini_fo or something similar, this file is not writeable. But you can create a modified copy on your external disk and change the variable CALLMONITOR_CFG in /mod/etc/conf/callmonitor.conf to point to the modified copy of system.cfg.
Don't forget to save your changes to callmonitor.conf by means of "modsave all".

Have a look at the files in /usr/lib/callmonitor/reverse/. You need to create your own *.sh file that interacts with your PHP/ASP script and add it to provider.cfg. If you make the modifications in freetz-.../packages/target-mipsel_...../callmonitor-1.18.7/root/usr/lib/callmonitor/reverse/, a subsequent "make" will create a firmware image with the added/changed files.

Thank you kokkia, I have been trying to test this on a new Fritz!Box 7270, but I cannot install Freetz as the version of hardware I have is 7270 v3 running the International firmware (FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7270_v3.AnnexB.en-de-es-it-fr.74.04.81.image) however if I try to build a Freetz image for the v3 I only get the option of the German Firmware with the 74.04.86 image. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, I was able to download the Lab Firmware
(http://www.avm.de/de/Service/Service-Portale/Labor/7570_7270_IPv6_en/fritzbox_lab_17599__7270v3.zip) which contains the image suited to this version of the hardware.

Callmonitor - Pass caller name to SIP handsets

Thanks for the assistance so far. Is it possible to send the caller information of the callers list to the registered IP handsets?
