Cannot mount ext2 on FB7141

USB harddisk with FAT32 can be mounted successfully on my FB7141.
I tryed to format it with ext2 - FB cannot mount USB Masstorage device, error - "Unknown file system"
Is there some trick to use ext2 filesystem?
Will it give some advantage in comparison with fat32?

For other filesystems you have to put the modules on the box and insmod them. This does not work automtically.

I tried insmod for ext2 - the same error message while connecting USB disk.
