FB WLAN 7050 - Dead

Guys,

I tried the recovery application again. This time with the latest recovery exe from AVM but still no luck :( The recovery util is unable to find the FB and the FB's info light remains lit all the time.

Below is what I got when I ran the recovery. The failure message came after I had cancelled the process.

"FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7050 suchen an: 192.168.178.2
Auffinden der FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7050 gescheitert!!"

I ran the recovery process 7-8 times and waited for more than 5-10 minutes in one instance.

Regards,
- Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,

you will not have any success until you got:
- prompt from ADAM2
- set HWRevision correct.

No recover tool of AVM will help before you have done this.

Hi Haveaniceday,

Unfortunately there is no way of getting to the ADAM2 prompt.

Thanks for your help.

- Gaurav

Then I see no chance...

Strange: no access from the console. The bootloader from the Fon WLAN and
7050 seems to be different in this case.
Did your serial console work before ?

Seems to be a case for AVM if a prompt at adam2 is not possbile.

Haveaniceday

I did not try the serial console before the problem started so I am not sure if the serial console was working and taking to the prompt or not. But from what I see, the four lines pop up in less than a second and there is no way to escape the sequence.

I have raised a ticket with AVM. Waiting for their reply.

Regards,
- Gaurav

You've got only 2 seconds, to get to the adam2 prompt, so you need a really good timing! In case you use W2K or WXP you can easily find out when exactly this time window's open by observing the LAN connection icon in your system tray.

So, as last try i suggest this:
First, set your NICs IP to 192.168.178.5

Now the important part ... Directly after (or better during) connecting your Box to the power supply watch your LAN-connection-symbol in your sytem tray. 1st you see the red cross, that no network cable is connected. After about 3 seconds the cross disappears for only 2 seconds and comes back for a short moment to disappear again. Only this 2-seconds-red-cross-disappearance is your magic time window to get to adam2. After this you don't have a chance to get there until you reboot your box by dis- and reconnecting it from the power supply.

within these 2 seconds try "ftp 192.168.178.(1|2|3)" from the command window.

this HAS TO work! :D

P.S: if the cross' first disappearance lasts longer than 2 seconds, your PC is probably connected to "LAN B" of your Box. Otherwise your Box seems to be deader than dead.

Hi, Laber.

Wow, you have found a really old thread.
ADSL (ITU G.992.1) Annex A 8128/576 kbit/s
If that is what your FritzBox tells you on "DSL Information" page, firmware, Annex setting and cable connection are OK.
Then it's just a matter of settings. But those are provider specific.

Recover Firmware incompatibel Error ..

Help Me !

@antep0510:

Could be that the step between 14.03.56 and 14.04.26 is to big.
Try to upgrade to a annex B version in between, e.g. 14.04.01, or so.
After that, try to recover with 14.04.26 annex A as you have done.
.

antep0510:
Would you PLEASE try to describe your problem in full sentences so someone might understand your problem? And also, you now posted for the fifth (or more ?) time some (different) information about box and firmware.

So please try again:
What is your real actual box firmware (you won't get fw 14.03.56 to accept the commands like "quote SETENV annex A " for this old fw would need "comma syntax")?
In which state is the box? Is it booting or not?
What is your goal?

And it really would be nice to try the proposals you allready got (or at least give some feedback if they didn't work out).

How shall we help you with this kind of non-information?

If you don´t want any kind of answers, that will help to fix your problem, do answer in the same way you did it before.........

The attachments tell me that you are connected to ADSL, not more.

Your ISP connected you to an ADSL port - not to an ADSL2+ port.
I can't see at your screenshots "ADSL 2+ Nicht Verbunden"
I look again with my glasses - I can't see

Your IP address located Gaziantep/Turkey

VPI: 8 and VCI: 35 seem to be correct for ttnet Turkey. According to [POST=1479195]this post[/POST]"encapsulacion= PPPoE or PPPoA/VC-Mux - both work)" and switch off TRAFFIC SHAPING. Hope it helps
