Mit der neuen Labor 14371 bekomme ich bei der Imageerstellung neuerdings eine Fehlermeldung .

Ja, die Labor-Firmwares werden nur im Trunk sauber gepflegt, und sind eigentlich in den Releases deaktiviert.
