my question is how to build a new image that includes asterisk and asterisk-gui.
i am using a fritz 7140 with an external usb flash drive. I would appreciate any help available!

No, you aren't missing something, there is no package called asterisk right now in freetz-trunk or any other version.

Maybe this ticket in trac is useful for you. But i think you have to adapt the patches, cause there were many changes in the trunk since the diffs are uploaded.
