i got a fritz 7270 from ebay. how do i find out which version is it?
i need to change it to international from 1&1.

If the firwre is the 74.04.xx, you have the 7270v3. If it's the 54.04.xx you have the v2 or v1.

If the serial number is smaller than xxxx.304.00.000.001, ist the 7270v1.

I think you can try ruKernelTool to change the version.

What exactly (please describe each step) did you do with the ruKernelTool?
And, please tell us which error message occured (screenshot of the error message).
Which exact firmware version is currently installed on the box (it's shown on the "overview page" in the box's Web-Interface)?

OK, he had modified a 7270_v3 but for a 7270_v1 it should work in the same way.

but please wait on the replay of Andi_84. He is the better one for this question.

Edit: It could be that this version will work on your box, too, but i don't know it right now ( ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon_wlan_7270_v1/firmware/deutsch/ )


I would try as follow:

1.) update your Box to the latest Fritzbox Firmeware. It should be te xx.xx.86
2.) then start the ruKernelTool
3.) aktivate the "Expertenansicht"
4.) Then you sholud find a Button on the "Tool"-Page where you can switch the annex-Version



5.) switch the Version and make a reboot after that.

I think it should work. If not you can all times recover the Box with the ruKernelTool.

You did not answer yet the question which version! If it is v1 it is NOT possible to flash it with an international firmware. You can get a v1 work with annex A modifying a German firmware - but there are no means to get an international fw flashed onto a 7270 v1!

As to gismotro's #8: YES - There is a BIG difference between v3 and v1: v3= 16 mb flash memory ---- v1=8 mb

OK, I know the different between the memory. But my question was: Are there different in the Annex-Version.

NAS and Co are not inkluded in V1-Image, but ist Annex A and B also missing or are there both inkluded in the Image ?

1. Which version (v1 or v2) is your 7270?

1. Do you need international fw (because of English language) or only annex A - or both?

Additionally: Even fw 54.04.86 v1 contains ONLY annex B driver

i would like to have it in english and make it work in annex a.
that's all i am looking for
