Searching FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 at: 192.168.178.1
One system found! - Detecting the current version.

Firmware: 29.04.67
FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 firmware is incompatible with the recovery firmware
In order to help you, we need to know what happens to your FritzBox.
The values of the following environment parameters are of special interest:
- parameter annex (value can be "B" or "A")
- parameter HWRevision (value can be "94" or "127")
- parameter firmware_version (value can be "avm" or "avme")
- parameter kernel_args (value can be "not set" or "annex=A")
These parameter are accessible by using the command "quote GETENV" via ftp / adam2.
Access is possible via telnet, too. Here you need the command "cat /proc/sys/urlader/environment"
Try to find out the present value of these parameters and post them here.
.
That looks fine! These values are correct to recover with firmware AnnexB in german.
In order to downgrade to english firmware 24.04.57 you must change the parameter "firmware_version" from "avm" to "avme". This is what the pseudo image "fritz_as_avme_newer.tar" does, too.
If you want AnnexB, don't change any more.
If you want AnnexA, set the parameter "kernel_args" to the value "annex=A"
To change the parameters with ftp / adam2, use the command "quote SETENV".
With the new values, run recovery file "... 24.04.57.en.recover-image.exe"
You already know! (see postings #10 to #13):
Enter ftp/adam2 and set "kernel_args annex=A"
You can do it loading "fritz_as_annex_a_kernel_args_newer.tar", too.
