I am using the box now for about 2 weeks and bought it to have the profit of both voip cost and fixed line quality.
For the voip internet, I use voipbuster now and it works great.
for the fixed line, I have an analog line provided by kpn (dutch telco). KPN uses DTMF as the protocol for CLIP.
For Internet I use chello cable 8Mb/1Mb (for the time being) but will transfer to adsl (bbned). Currently the cablemodem is connected to LAN A (and setup accordingly).
All works fine, voip works fine also with high bandwith usage because of down&uploads.
The most disturbing thing is that I have no CLIP on incoming calls on the fixed line.
As I only use fixed line for incoming calls this is a big problem.
I do have CLIP on incoming calls trough voip, but do not whish to disturb everyone with high frequency changing phone numbers.(changing accounts)
It is not the analog phone that is the problem (clip works when connected directly to the analog line) as well as connected to the 7050 when the incoming call is trough voip.
My analog phone supports both DTMF and FSK.
KPN is only supporting CLIP trough DTMF protocol but this should be supported by the 7050.
I use the international version of the box, original firmware (14.03.91), original cables and adapters. Tried probably all settings, including #99*1* for enabling DTMF protocol. (some undocumented feature) All did not solve the problem....
Is there anyone out there who got the Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7050 Annex A International working with KPN analog line as fixed line including the CLIP function?
