fritz fon WLAN become Fritz wlan SL :-) SOLVED

Hi Everybody

today I want to update my fritz fon wlan ( english - Annex A- with modification .. origin was German - Annex B )

well the old version was

08.04.02

and I updated with

fritz.box_fon_wlan.annexa.en.08.04.21.image

( I am %1000000000000 sure that I only use that image )

and after that I could not reach the fritz fon wlan but I gave fixed ip dan reach the box at

192.168.178.254

well the estonishing result was



my fritz fon wlan became a



Fritz WLAN sl WITH VERSION

10.04.21






I tried to recover it with exe file




but the result was

Version successfully detected!

Firmware: 10.04.21

Has ist lost the Fon-Features?

yes I lost the fon features .. and now I can not even call the web- interface ...

bot the box can still be pinged

well I think I need to change the firmware version but I have no idea how

I need help :-(

When the Webui says "sl" then the HWRevision doesn't match.

thanks for your answer .. but I can not run the telnet .. yes I can ping th box and when I try to recover it with fritz.box_fon_wlan.annexa.en.04.01.recover-image

I have no idea how the new firmware " fritz.box_fon_wlan.annexa.en.08.04.21.image" change my box to version 10.04.21

I try to find this version but there is no such version at AVM.de

well I will be glad if you can give me instruction what I need to do

At startup the file /etc/init.d/rc.init is parsed. When there is no matching HWRevision then you will get the failsafe:

HW=all OEM=all _PRODUKT_NAME=Boot#Error:#running#as#FRITZ!Box#SL

You have to know what HWRevision, Annex and firmware_version your Box has. Obviously, this is not matching to that of the Firmware on the box.
How was this firmware flashed onto the box? Recover?

Solution

If you are having the same problem like I described above here is the solution ( may be was a solution for me .. hope for you too )

Zuerst musste ich noch
- meinem Laptop LAN port eine statische Adresse geben (192.168.178.2)
- den Laptop LAN port mit dem BOXs LAN port verbinden

Dann konnte ich per telnet 192.168.178.1 21 (sofort nach power-cycle) auf die box connecten und per "SETENV firmware_version,avm" die Variable wieder zurechtbiegen.

>telnet 192.168.178.1 21
220 ADAM2 FTP Server ready.
USER adam2
331 Password required for adam2.
PASS adam2
230 User adam2 successfully logged in.
GETENV firmware_version
firmware_version avme

200 GETENV command successful
SETENV firmware_version,avm

after you do that

get the recovery EXE for German version from AVM's ftp .. and run its process .. after that you will recover your box again

but of course it will be again german version ..
