My first issue was, when installing freetz (without any ftp server replacement) the normal (avm) ftp access doesn't work anymore...
It seems to be a conflict with the shadow / passwd files... I'm not quite Linux expert.
I remember it worked after removing the "ftpuser" line from shadow file, using export settings (directly with telnet should work too).
What is the normal way to do it? I only need simple things, no user management...
Then I decided to use vsftpd (although I don't really need), just to find other issues...
I think I had again problems with passwords; first I had to use passwd command to set the password for ftpuser, but it was not persistent...
However the most disturbing right now is a security issue...
Did anyone try (with vsftpd) to access the root? It looks that one can easily go to the root using "ftp://fritz.box//" (note another "/"), or directly to "ftp://fritz.box//var/flash/" and read all settings...
Regards,
Gabriel
Update: It seems that the files are only visible, not readable... not nice but not very bad either.
