Help getting started

Hello all,

I want to use ds-mod to make some changes to my 7050. My goals are:

- change the html pages
- change the host name from fritz.box to something else

I don't need to add any extra functions for the moment. I apreciate any help about to get me started on this.

I have looked for some documentation in english but I was not able to find anything useful to me. Is there any basic how-to that I may have missed?

There is a lot of know-how here, but 99% of it in German, I am afraid.
What you want is possible, by the way.

Work on a new generation of ds-mod with ipkg is in progress. This version and its documentation will be completely in English.

If you want to define additional DNS-names have a closer look at dnsmasq. For replacing files just copy your version into the directory 'root' (it can be found in the ds-mod top-level directory). ./root/usr/www/some.file will end up in /usr/www/some.file on your device.
