Hi all, first of all I apologise for the english but I am afraid my German is very limited. I am trying to find out if it is possible to record telefon conversations on he 7170. Is there a way that I can record telefon conversations lets say on a flash card attached to the USB port, or to a NAS server attached to the network? Any help wil be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

that would be interesting for me as well :) but i don't knw how you could realize that.. when you want to record one particular call you could use your pc with headset ans voip-softclient. then you can record "what u hear".

I'm working on a script that solves that, because this is also interesting for me.

The Problem is, that telefon-Daemon always interrupts incoming/outgoing calls and takes control of them - so you're not able to record anything. telefon != OpenSource :(.

To solve this, you'll need another (CAPI-)application, that manages the real MSNs and pass calls to a fake MSN (from external to S0).

e.g.: on your telephone you setup a Fake-MSN like '12345' (your Real-MSN is 5555555). Everytime a call comes in, the telefon-daemon cannot route that call (because it doesn't find 5555555?). So the other application gets that call, routes it to the Fake-MSN and you're able to control that connection (record/play/do what ever). Of course, this would work with ISDN, only.

For VoIP this is much easier (because you can capture the packets with any network-sniffer).
