Hi,

Let's say the phonebook of my FRITZ!Box 7050 looks like this:

**701 = 0123456789 (normal phone number)
**702 = [email protected] (SIP IRL)

With my analog phone, I can dial **701 or **702 to reach them without problems. However, if I use my ISDN phone (Tiptel 195), I *can* dial **701, but I *can not* dial **702. It seems that the FRITZ!Box is actually dialling the number 702...

Does anyone have an answer for this?

Thanks!

Sorry but a little bit more information would help. What do you mean with "it seems". Does the Fritzbox dial the number stored under **701 when you dial **702 or not? What does the log of your Fritzbox say?

Greetings

When I dial **702 from my ISDN phone, the error logs says: "Error in Internet telephony during connection with 702 over (provider). Reason for error: Declined (603)". So I think the Fritz!box is trying to dial the actual number 702 (so sending "702" to my SIP provider, not the content of book book entry 702), which is not a valid telephone number.

When I dial **702 from my analogue phone, it is working fine.

Please note that the number stored in the phonebook entry 702 is a SIP URL, not a real phonenumber (see above). With a real phonenumber (in phonebook entry 701), it is working from both my ISDN and my analogue phone.

I hope my explanation is a bit more clear now.

Why would it dial the number under **701 when I dial **702 ?

Try to look up in the manual of your ISDN Phone something like "keypad" and look how to activate it. Maybe it is called different but look for something like how to dial * and #. The problem is that you ISDN phone isn't sending the * and # in a way that the Fritzbox can interpret it right. To solve this activate a function called normally "keypad" in your ISDN phone. Maybe then it works.

Greetings Christoph
