[Problem] IP errors in syslog for Inadyn

In syslog I see a lot of errrors like (just a number of unique messages):

I have Inadyn configured to update once a day with:
"forced_update_period 86400"

Trigger for looking was a "Your free Dyn hostname will expire in 5 days" email about 15 days after returning from holiday. (so it must have failed about 10 times to update).

It has worked fine for a very long time (no "Your free Dyn hostname will expire in 5 days" emails).
What can have caused this?

dyndns.org needs a 14 Day login on there Homepage too work for free.

You can try to use a script to do this login for you.

Missed that, but just found the "SLA Update For Dyn Non-Paid Users" email I received 14-May.
Thanks for pointing this out.


From the email:

"Starting now, if you would like to maintain your free Dyn account, you must log into your account once a month. Failure to do so will result in expiration and loss of your hostname. This activity helps us eliminate hostnames that are no longer needed and/or dormant. Note that using an update client will no longer suffice for this monthly login."

I will have a good look at the thread you pointed to.

And will update the http://freetz.org/wiki/packages/inadyn-mt.en page with the info Inadyn became useless.
