[Problem] Kein Lebenszeichen nach dem Flashvorgang

Hallo,
hab schon seit ~ 9 Monaten die Firmware nicht mehr aktualisiert und wollte dies nun durchführen. Flashvorgang inkl. clear mtd3+4 ist durchgelaufen. Jedoch ist die Box nicht mehr erreichbar. Geflasht wurde via Speed2Fritz script und über die VM Ubuntu 10.04. Dort wurden auch zusätzliche virtuelle adapter eth1:1 (192.168.178.2) und eth1:2 (192.168.2.2) angelegt und die kommunikation via ping kontrolliert.
Wird die Box neu gestartet, ist diese 7x unter ..178.1 erreichbar. Wartet man bis zu 10 minuten und länger ist die box nicht erreichbar. Den Flashvorgang kann ich wiederholen, aber es führt immer zur gleichen reaktion.
Ausgewählt habe ich die final firmware v2 54.05.05.
Es wurde als Basisfirmware die 7570 Firmware sowie die TCom Firmware getestet, sowie mit und ohne 2nd Firmware für LED fix.
Soweit ich mich erinnere, ist doch beim Speedport W920V Router immer die V2 Firmware (16MB RAM) auszuwählen, oder?

Zuvor hatte der Router eine andere IP 192.168.1.3. Aber das sollte ja durch clear mtd3+4 zur Default IP 192.168.178.1 geändert werden, oder?

Ausgewählt habe ich die final firmware v2 54.05.05.
Mal abgesehen von dem Problem beim Flashen, diese Firmware ist nicht geeignet. Die Firmware-Versionen mit einem 3er-Kernel (erkennbar an der 05 in der Mitte der Versionsnummer 54.05.05) passen nicht zu den Hardware-Treibern, die aus einer Firmware mit 2er-Kernel (04 in der Mitte der Versionsnummer) stammen. Die 05er-Versionen können also bislang nur als Treiberlieferant, z.B. für den DECT-Treiber, dienen. Siehe auch hier ab Posting #784.

Die ungeeignete Firmware ist vermutlich auch die Ursache für die Nichterreichbarkeit der Box, deshalb probiere es mal mit einer 7270-Firmware der "alten" Generation, also der 04 in der Mitte.

Aber das sollte ja durch clear mtd3+4 zur Default IP 192.168.178.1 geändert werden, oder?
Normalerweise ja. Jedoch ist die IP-Adresse der Weboberfläche firmwarebedingt (TCOM 192.168.2.1, AVM 192.168.178.1), die FTP-Adresse, über welche das Script oder andere FTP-Programme die Firmware hochladen, ist im Bootloader voreingestellt. Soll heissen: wenn die Speicherbereiche mtd3 und mtd4 z.B. mit einer leeren Datei überschrieben und damit gelöscht werden, stellt der Bootloader nach einem Neustart eine Grundkonfiguration her. Bei den meisten Boxen (aber nicht bei allen) ist dann die FTP-Adresse auf 192.168.2.1 gesetzt.

Bei einem Flashen per Script oder per modifiziertem Recover wird jedoch durch Setzen der Environment-Variablen diese Adresse wieder auf 192.168.178.1 eingestellt. Für den Fall, dass die FTP-Adresse auf 192.168.2.1 stehen sollte, ist unten im Script-Menü bei den Netzwerkeinstellungen eine Möglichkeit zum Umschalten vorhanden. Die dort aufgeführten Adressen 192.168.2.1 und 192.168.178.1 sind die FTP-Adressen, haben also nichts mit der Adresse der Weboberfläche zu tun.

Und in dem Zusammenhang noch etwas Wichtiges für die Vista- bzw. Win7-Nutzer: Die VM braucht den vollen Netzwerkzugriff. Unter Vista/Win7 ist die Benutzerkontensteuerung restriktiver als unter Windows XP, also den VMWare-Player mit "Als Administrator ausführen" starten. Auch sollten sich beim Flashen keine weiteren aktiven Netzwerkgeräte oder -Karten im Rechner befinden (auch TV-Karten oder -Sticks können Probleme machen), eine VM verwendet die erste physikalisch vorhandene Netzwerkkarte, die sie findet. Das muss dann nicht unbedingt die Karte sein, an der auch der Router hängt.

Nein, nicht immer. Auch die Firmware der 7270v3 ist verwendbar. Jedoch muss hier vorher der DECT-Treiber aus einer geeigneten V2er-Version gespeichert und dann beim Bau einer V3er-Version wieder eingebaut werden.

Hallo,
heute konnte ich endlich noch mal so einiges ausprobieren. Eine x.04.x Firmware lässt sich problemlos flashen und der Router ist danach auch erreichbar. Werden die SupportDaten erzeugt, findet man dort einen Eintrag, das mein Speedport W920v einen 16MB großen Speicher hat, was ja einer Fritzbox 7270v2 ähnelt. Daher sollte doch auch die 54.05.05 firmware zu flashen gehen, oder?
Wie auch immer, ich habe das eben noch mal probiert und hab das gleiche Problem wie vor ein paar Tagen. Nach dem Einschalten erhalte ich ~7x einen reply von der IP 192.168.178.1... dann kann ich keine Verbindung mehr aufbauen. Clear mtd3+4 wurde angewählt, was ja die Box IP auf 192.168.178.1 zurücksetzt. Aber auch nach > 10 minuten kommt kein reply auf den ping.

Von früher habe ich noch eine Serielle Verbindung angelötet. Wenn ich dort ein Hyperterminal laufen lasse, kommt folgende Ausgabe:

Evtl. schau mal -> hier dann sollte es klar sein warum eine xx.05.yy nicht lauffähig ist!

Natürlich kann man die Firmware flashen....aber um mal ein Beispiel zu konstruieren: Du hast ein Auto mit Dieselmotor (Speedport W920v). Dieses Fahrzeug läuft mit Diesel (Firmware mit 2er-Kernel -> Firmware der xx.04.xx-Version) einwandfrei.
Jetzt kippst du Benzin (Firmware mit 3er-Kernel -> Firmware mit xx.05.xx) dazu und die Probleme (Motorschaden -> Weboberfläche nicht erreichbar, Reboot-Schleife, kein Internet-Zugang, kein Ping usw.) gehen los.

Soll heissen: Sowohl eine Kombination einer Firmware mit 2er-Kernel als auch eine Firmware mit 3er-Kernel allein laufen nicht, siehe auch den vorangegangenen Beitrag und den Link darin.

...findet man dort einen Eintrag, das mein Speedport W920v einen 16MB großen Speicher hat, was ja einer Fritzbox 7270v2 ähnelt.
Das ist aber nicht der entscheidende Punkt. Um beim Auto-Beispiel zu bleiben: Alle Fahrzeuge (Router) haben einen Tank (Flash-Speicher), in den du Kraftstoff (Firmware) füllen (flashen) kannst. Nur muss dieser dann auch zum verwendeten Motor (Box-Hardware/Chipsätze) passen. Und diese sind beim Speedport W920v bzw. der Fritzbox 7270 unterschiedlich.

Die benötigten Treiber sind nicht OpenSource, also nicht im Quellcode, sondern nur als binäre Dateien vorhanden, die per Script einfach unverändert ausgetauscht werden. Sie können also schon aus Copyright-Gründen nicht ohne weiteres neu erstellt werden. So lange es keine passenden Treiber für ein Speedport W920v gibt, die mit einem 3er-Kernel kompiliert worden sind, ist auch der Einsatz einer 7270-Firmware mit 3er-Kernel nicht machbar. Es muss also weiterhin gewartet werden, ob evtl. ein Update der originalen TCOM-Speedport-Firmware oder ein Update einer Fritzbox 7570 (fast baugleich zum W920v) erscheint, aus welchem man die Treiber gewinnen kann.
