New Sipura tool

There is a new tool that functions as a call monitor in combination with a Sipura SPA-1001.

Since two months I am the owner of such a Sipura device, but found no PC tool that notifies incoming calls and/or logs them. So I made 'SPA Tool' that has this functionality.

I think this is a nice tool, but I don't need it, since I built my own solution:

The siproxd on my router logs to syslog every caller. This is read by a php-script from my webserver and displayed. Since the php script knows all german area codes and all phone numbers of my friends, it resolves names and cities on its own.
The pretty cool thing is that I can access this from anywhere in the world, I just need a webbrowser. So it is very nice to be able to know who called even if I am not at home.

I did not make this publically available, since I think that not so many people have siproxd running. Maybe I will, if there is demand for it.

thanks a lot for this tool. I have no idea of programming such tools, but i´ve downloaded it just a second ago, and it works! :nemma: :groesste:
(even on other Sipuras like 2100)

It´s much faster than CLIP on my phone, and you can hear and see who wants to call you.

That's a nice thing.

I was already thinking about adding a little webserver component to SPATool to let users view the caller history from remote.
Not everybody has a webserver at home.

This was only the first release of SPATool...

Bei einen Anruf wird entweder das Nummer oder der Name gezeigt.

Habe das Tool auch installiert - mit einem SPA 2000.

Gefällt mir prima!

Und natürlich kommen einem da "tolle Ideen" in den Sinn:
Sowas braucht man ja eigentlich dann, wenn man nicht zuhause ist (und der Rechner dann eigentlich auch nicht läuft), um nach Rückkehr die verpaßten Anrufe zu sehen.
Aber genau das funktioniert ja nicht, weil der Sipura die Daten ja sicherlich nicht speichern kann.

@MrVenus: Ich hoffe du bist nicht böse wenn ich versuche für dich zu sprechen, auch wenn mein Englisch nicht soo besonders ist..

I think he means that the SPAtool searches the Name belonging to the displayed Number not only in your personal phonebook in the SPAtool, but also in the public phone book.
If someone calles you with an unindentified number, the SPAtool should search for it in the public phone book an display immediatly the name on the screen.

I think this will work only with german numbers. I don´t know if abroad this reverse search is used.
And some SIP-Provider display the number in a different format, e.g. Nikotel displays german numbers in the format 49891234..., but the public phone book needs it alsways in the format 089124..
Not all german phone numbers are listed for this reverse search, especially nearly no cellular phone number.

Für dich würde die Lösung von zoo mit einem Webserver in Frage kommen, der Sipura kann seinen Log ja prinzipiell überall hinschicken...

Ja, dachte ich auch schon, als ich das von zoo gelesen habe. Aber dazu muß ja wohl auch ein Rechner bei mir laufen der es ins Web stellt, oder? Und das ist mir zuviel Aufwand dafür.

Hey zoo,

Dein PHP-Skript kann man doch bestimmt auch für andere Syslog-Server nutzen oder ggf. anpassen?! Hatte auch schon mal überlegt mir einen Parser in PHP zu schreiben, aber die Zeit...
Da mein SPA ohnehin auf meinen Server loggt und darauf zufällig auch noch ein Webserver läuft, wäre das für mich auch die optimale Lösung.

Könntest Du das Skript der Welt zugänglich machen oder mir per Mail schicken?!

Hey zoo,

nicht schlecht. :groesste:
Das Anpassen für Leute die weder nen Linksys-Router noch nen siproxd zu laufen haben hatte ich mir in meinem jugendlichen Leichtsinn natürlich einfacher vorgestellt. Aber die Syslog-Ausgaben vom SPA bzw. vom siproxd sehen ja teilweise doch ganz anders aus. Naja, vielleicht brech ich mir ja mal aus Versehen n Fuß oder so um die Zeit dafür zu haben mal was zu schreiben. :?

Aber cooles Tool.

Version 2.0 available!

There is now version 2.0 of the program:

the new name is SpaView

It is still a Call monitor for Spa devices, but now has an integrated web server.
This means that you can access your call history list from all over the world, if an Internet connection is available.

Non answered calls can be notified by e-mail.
At some telephone companies you can send an e-mail to your GSM phone.
The From and Subject of the e-mail are notified by an SMS message.
