Recover 7050 after 14.04.33

sorry didnt speak german but its very hard to find english suport for what i think its a good piece of hardware. cant play with it though, yet

well
i buy 1&1 box in ebay with 14.04.31 and after tryed to upgrade to 14.04.33.
something went wrong.
now power led blinks and after (+/-) 20 secs all lights blink and after only power led. I gess its in a boot loop.

Îs this problem documented and is there a way to fix this? :noidea:
by software, serial, or jtag? can you point some resources please

can i then revert back to old firmwares ??

forget to mention.

when i use german versions of recovery images, the one from cd and one from the fritz ftp site, in 3 different pc's i when its checking mtd1 always get "winerror -4".
If i use annex a international version i get "version mismatch" (or something like that).
I can enter adam2 but i cant enter telnet because box doesnt boot all the way.

Which version of 7050 do you exactly have?
For international use you need the Annex A english image.
Please post the whole error alert!

Hi,

you might also just try to reset the box with a phone. If there is only the configuration messed up there is a chance it works. Just dial #991*15901590* from a phone connected as soon as you might use the phone. You should hear a confirmation-tone and then the box should restart with default settings.

I would like to put international version but now i just want to get acess to box.

Which OS are you using? "WinError" means Windows error!
Do you reset the F!B like MaxMuster said? Maybe try http://169.254.1.1/ in your browser.

I'm using windows xp. Pro and Home (both same error)
I gess recovery image is only for windows right? is there a linux version?
didnt reset cause i cant get a dial tone in telefone.

I tryed now acess http://169.254.1.1/ but i dont think its possible cause box reboots every 15 secs (no time to web interface to come up) .

is there a way I can flash firmware through adam2 ???

I don't know if it's possible with adam2 but the AVM warranty for each Fritz!Box lasts for 5 years.
You only need the serial no. of the bottom side when you contact AVM.

at least finaly my box come to life
found here in forum with the help of google translation (not very good and easy to understand though) that the only way to flash 14.04.33 with recovery image is with version 14.04.31

now i will try to downgrade and put international version annex a. my problem is where i get mtd2.bin

Ups.. I thought you know this.. Firmware .30 and above is using Kernel 2.6.! You can't downgrade to Kernel 2.4. with older Firmware.

For my box, it is important to disconnect the DSL plug from the box before i start recovering. If not, i got a similar error all the time

the problem i gess was because of i could only flash with 14.04.31 recovery image if i have 14.04.33 installed

about mediasensing
no need to restart pc with recovery image

just respond "yes" to 1st question and "no" to 2nd
after, start again recovery image and you can use without reboot pc

when its done respond "no" again for no need to restart again
