i do have an ISDN with 3 numbers. i have setup a fritzbox 7170 (Firmware version 29.04.83) to have a number in each of the fon ports.
also i do need to have three other softphones (620, 621, 622) to be in the LAN and have the same numbers as the fons.
the numbers i would like them to be:
-fon1 ring simultaneously with IPphone 620
-fon2 ring simultaneously with IPphone 621
-fon3 ring simultaneously with IPphone 622

the ip phones are softphones 3CX in android phones. the problem is the fon 1-3 the call in/out works fine. when i add the ip phones the fon1-3 still works for the in/calling. the IP phones though only can call but not get called. any ideas?

to support my problem i have found that from ip phones 620-622 i can call **1,2 or 3 and talk internally to analogue ports. the oppossite (call to **620, 621 or 622) is not possible. all i hear is busy tone.
some help please?

Do you use the 3CX app for Sip providers? I think it's not available anymore in Play Store for new users...

Can you post a screenshot of your 3CX configuration? Does the connection show green?

i have used asterisk, 3cx softphone, zoiper softphone. all of them have the same issue. only outgoing calls. no incoming.
here is a printscreen of the settings from 3cx
3cx.png
and yes it shows on hook when idle

I would like to help but I can only confirm the configuration is correct.

Do you have any error message in the log?

Did you try deleting and newly set up the IP softphones in the box?

i have tried so many times the last 4 days that i have lost count. the thing is that i am not getting any error at all.
any ideas?

Nothing in the log?

Did you do a box reset? (make a backup for easier restore of all settings if it doesn't work)

Same problem if you don't assign a phone number testwise?

i have done a reset to factory defaults. After the reset i have not uploaded the backup file, but i have started creating entries by hand.
i have 3 analogue ports with one number assignment on each one. IP phones 620-622 with the same numbering assignment as analogue ports. the fritzbox is having the default IP 192.168.178.1
Also i have tried with changes, get internet from LAN1 (192.168.178.110). everything works fine, apart from incoming calls to IP extensions.
The log does not show anything wrong.

sorry for asking, but is it possible to give it a try in your box, to check if simultaneous ringing to fon and IP works in yours, please?

I'd suggest to try a SIP client on another platform first to rule out, it's a version-dependent i14y problem between FRITZ!OS and Android.

Another choice would be a network packet capture at the router to ensure, it sends out SIP INVITE requests to the clients while ringing the analogue lines. If those packets are seen, they'd be blocked at the receiving side only.

Thanks a lot for the answer. i have tried the same softphones to different voip servers (asterisk, 3cx voip server) in my LAN. they do work fine.
i will try to get a wireshark in my LAN when having the softphone to see the signalling process.

Do the other servers use TCP or UDP for SIP traffic ?

Newer AVM softphones (FRITZ!App Fon - did you ever try that app on your Android devices ?) use TCP only, but your FRITZ!OS version at the 7170 box is rather old and I can't remember what the earlier situation was. But for sure there were some problems.

i will try to get a wireshark in my LAN when having the softphone to see the signalling process.
A FRITZ!Box router is able to produce a wireshark compatible packet dump file itself, are you aware of that ?

Hi PeterPawn. How can i get the wireshark compatible packet dump file itself from the fritzbox. i am not aware of such feature.
the other servers use udp. i have tried even with the fritz app fon in my android and i had the same problem

Even 04.88 should have a control page for the capture via

http://fritz.box/capture.lua

I don't know, if there's a link to it from somewhere in the standard interface.

Awesome ...

Did you try another SIP client (beside your Android device) ?

I got the message, that you got it working with the Android device and various servers ... but the other case - any other client to 7170 - isn't tested yet, is it ?

i have tried the following softphones:
-xlite (windows PC)
-fritz app fon (android device)
-zoiper (windows PC)
-3CX (windows PC)

none of them worked at all.

Well, looks like the 7170 is the common factor.

You wrote about a (third ?) box with firmware version 29.04.83, which would be a 7170 with HWRevision 94 (intended for use with Annex B).

The routers at your signature are - afaik - HWRevision 127 (because they use the 58.xx.xx firmware version) and the Annex B-version at the HWR127 device is a self-made image, am I right ? Or is it an image with support for both standards ?

There are so many different firmware versions for 7170 with several hardware revisions and languages at the FTP server ... I'm a little bit confused.

Does your setup work with one of the other routers with version 58.04.85 (which is in proximity of time and functions to the 29.04.83, if you read the allocated info.txt file) ?

The best option to find the reason for the missing signaling of incoming calls is - imho - to analyze the network traffic. If there's no outgoing INVITE request to the SIP client, that's an error of the SIP server and you could only try to use the firmware for another language.

The german version looks like the newest (04.88) one, but there were little or no efforts to record the differences regarding the SIP server.

If you get it working with your 58.04.85 and not with the (english) version 29.04.83, I could try the same setup with a german version (HWR 94, Annex B, Branding avm -> 29.04.88). But I'd prefer to keep the older (unused) box with a vulnerable firmware version for testing ... so I'll try that, if there are some real chances to find a solution and I'd believe that only, if it works with any other version of a 7170.
