Sipgate VoIP calls via T-Mobile

I can register fine with Sipgate via T-Mobile GPRS/Edge. However, when I answer an incoming call, my phone (HTC S710) ends the call and returns to the Home screen. If I make an outgoing call there is an error "network not available".

Since registration works fine I think port 5060 isn't blocked by T-Mobile, but do they block RTP ports? If that is the case can I do anything?
 
In most (or even all) T-Mobile data contracts the use of VoIP is not allowed, so the cause for the problem might be intentional blocking by the provider.
 
Ok thx, what about tunneling VoIP through a VPN connection ?

EDIT: I tried with VPN and all is well now :)
