Translating UI to English - 7270

Hello

apologies for posting in english...

i am starting a project of translating the UI of the 7270 to English. i want to use the .image file that comes with the firmware as a starting point but I can find no way to decompress the file to access the webpages.

does anyone know of a way? or am i going about this the wrong way?

Hi

well. i'm stuck ... unfortunately despite being a pretty competent programmer (interpreted languages), i can't even work out where to start with a UI translation. I have looked at Freetz, but my language is not good enough to understand the wiki (i am intending to use a friend or a professional translator with the UI itself).

can someone point me in the right direction with how to extract the image and locate the language files for translation. I will (obviously) share the output of any success.
