As you may have noticed I have released mdev 0.0.1 and 0.0.2 and the ippf thread may be found at http://www.ip-phone-forum.de/showthread.php?t=168392. The package is nothing more then an extended configuration for mdev and at the moment it can do everything hotplug 0.6a can on the 7270.
Before I start extending its functionality or porting I would like a few people to review the implementation and possibly test it on your boxes (please 2.6.19 based boxes first). Subsequently, rely your thoughts and experiences back to me.
I'm looking for people with techical experience with the box and can boot from ttyS0.
