Hello!

I have a problem with the upload speed with newest firmwares to SMC 7908BrB (on a SX541). When a flash/use my router with firmware 2.06 or higher I get a much lower upload speed compared to the upload speed I get while using firmware 2.05 or lower (600kb/s instead 1000kb/s). Is this a firmware bug, or do I have to change some of the ADSL settings? My ISP is NextGenTel (Norway).

Sie können gern in Deutsch antworten, weil ich am bischen Deutsch in die Schule gelernt habe.

hi bonne,
welcome to the board :)

-please use the newest firmware 2.11 from the ftp-server
-post a screenshot of http://routerip/adsl_status.stm after one hour internet
-an wich ADSL-parameter do you use ?

Here is screenshots of the adsl status and settings using 2.05 and 2.11
Could the problem be a result of my adsl splitter not fully supporting ADSL2+?

interesting...

but i have no ADSL2 :(

and the downstream of 2.11 is not so bad

greetings to norway

I tried with a new adsl2+ splitter, and I have still same problem :noidea:
This must be a firmware bug.

I have now tried the newest SX541 firmware and it has the same problem. The upload speed is only 657. I have to stick to SMC 2.05 firmware

Problem solved. Upgrading to 2.12 + installing the new splitter again fixed it.
