After some days without any success, today I have replaced the new firmware 29.04.06 (the latest one) with the previous 29.04.01, applied the haveaniceday mod with kernel args :
echo "kernel_args annex=A" > /proc/avalanche/env
The 7170 is now connected to my Italian provider NGI in Annex A at full speed and with good signal quality !
I think in newer firmwares the support for Annex A has been ripped out... I hope to find a way to combine old DSL driver with news firmwares.
