How to listen a podcast/internet radio from 7590 to Gigaset C575A (HX) Handset

Hi,

It would be nice to have the radio option available. It does not exist in the menu. How to bring it ?

it is a feature for Fritzfon only! not for Gigaset

Hm, Like macOs only works on Apple hardware?
Not so sure...

Podcast, radio stations from the Fritzbox mediaserver can be accessed in conjunction with VLC software, but not with a Gigaset phone
Gigaset phones and other manufacturers except Fritzfon are not supported.

Thanks, great to know it. What would be the url for it? I am assuming ip address of fb. Are any additional parameters required?

Here are your instructions:

Go to the point "Mediaserver" in your Fritz!Box web interface
Select the "Internet radio" tab
Then "Add internet radio station" - you’ll probably not be able to find a pre-defined station - just select "other internet radio station"
Enter the name of the station how it should appear when you want to listen it, And then enter the streaming url (not the station’s web presence)

I did the part at the f!b and when i enter a network location of f!b at the vlc i got an error. Must be something else that needs to be set up...

When you open VLC Player, you should click on "Universal Plug’n’Play" and see the Mediaserver of the Fritz!Box.

Unfortunately it does not show up on FreeBSD, so I have to point it manually. I copied and pasted manually url.
It works in Windows. I was checking my installation and it seems for me that I have uPnP enabled on FBSD however
it still does not show up in gui of VLC. There is no any option to enable it. I opened the settings, chosen advanced
view and tried to search by the string. Nothing came up.
