How to set up fritz box 7050 own call ID ?

I am using an 'Officially the lowratevoip.com Certified' AVM FRITZ!Box 7050

What are the correct settings to use the new custom callerid feature with FRITZ!Box 7050 ?

I tried cutting and pasting the verified telephone number from the owratevoip.com software client to the 'Internet number' field in the FRITZ!Box.
The callerid looks like: 00447756xxxxxx

Did anybody get it working?

I guess "Internetrufnummer für die Anmeldung verwenden" is activated?

If it is activated and it still doesn't work you probably forgot to enable "custom CallerID" in the lowratevoip-application. You have to verify your number and select that number in that application (Options - CallerID).

I think there's no tutorial for a 7050 but several threads for Fritz!Boxes in general, e.g. this one:

You don't need the first file. That's why I said the tutorial at the bottom of the page would be easier (the "Alternative approach"). It's more up to date.

For the 7050 you need another recovery tool.

The tutorial adapated for the 7050:
- download a GUI recovery tool with image bundled: ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon_wlan_7050/x_misc/english/annex a
- enable telnet by dialing #96*7* a phone connected to "Fon 2"
- your network cable should be connected to "LAN A" port now
- establish a telnet connection (factory default IP of the FBF is 192.168.178.254): telnet 192.168.178.254 ("start" - "run" in Windows)
- type in the following command:

echo firmware_version avme > /proc/avalanche/env

- run the program downloaded in the first step
- follow the instructions provided by the program

It often takes several tries before the program connects to the box.

Before you start:
Which Firmware-Version is on your Box?
Be aware that you can kill your box if something goes wrong!
Do you have a Firmware-File for your box with German Annex A-Firmware? There is none on AVM's FTP-Server, but it could be helpful IF something goes wrong.

Could be better (Any IP between 192.168.178.1 and 192.168.178.20 will do).

In short form:
- Connect PC to LAN A of the box. Deactivate all other connections.
- Give your PC IP-Adress 192.168.178.2 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0. (gateways 192.168.178.1); activate Netbios over TCP/IP and LMHOSTS-query in the WINS options.
- stop firewalls and other protection programs
- start the recovery tool and follow the instructions

If errors occur:
- be sure all other network connections are disabled; switch the network adapter connected to the box to 10 MBit/s half duplex
- start again

Did you try to restart the box (pull the power plug and plug it in again after a few seconds).

If that doesn't help, try to reset the box to factory defaults by dialing #991*15901590* on a phone that is connected to the box.
