Hi,
ich habe auf meiner Eumex300Ip momentan folgende firmware: 15.04.33ds26-15.2
ich habe mir jetzt unter ubuntu und diesem freetz-tool ein neues firmwareimage gemacht:
300ip_as_fon_04.33-freetz-1.0.de_20081001-194459.image

wenn ich im webinterface dieses einspielen will, läd die seite ewig und es passiert nichts.
die box kann ich weiterhin anpingen, internet ist aber tot.
an der box ist die TDSL birne noch dauerhaft an, info blinkt.
habe das schon ca 15min so gelassen - weiter passiert nichts.
nach ziehen des steckers startet die box ganz normal - aber mit bisheriger firmware

ich hatte gestern testweise ein image mit eumex-to-fritz gemacht. da habe ich den selben effekt

momentan starte ich das update von meinem notebook aus, welches über wlan angeschlossen ist.
der wlan-access point ist logischerweise nicht die fritzbox.

irgendwelche ideeen?

Hast du mal geschaut, ob du noch per telnet oder ssh auf die Box kommst? Was sagen die Logs (logread, dmesg, ps)? Wie siehts unter /var bzw. /var/tmp aus?

(falls das nicht klar zum vorschein kommt: die box funktioniert noch ganz normal)

wie sind denn die zugangsdaten für telnet? scheitere immer an "incorrect login"

ok - webpassword - sorry - bin drin - logs folgen

Du könntest das Image mal versuchen, über die ds-mod-Oberfläche einzupielen. Dort gibt es einen Punkt "Firmware-Update".
Wenn du über WLan auf die Box gehst, darfst du die Dienste nicht stoppen, sonst siehst du den Output nicht.

Und wenn es dann nicht klappt, postest du hier die Seite mit den Updatemeldungen....

Ich habe diese "operation" mal an einen über LAN angeschlossenen PC verlagert.

über die option "AVM-Dienste nicht stoppen (bei genug Speicher bzw. Pseudo-Update ohne Reboot)" erhalte ich nach einer weile die Meldung "Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden" - also keine Meldungen seitens Box/DSMOD

Über die option "AVM-Dienste stoppen (bei Speichermangel)" ist alles wie beim update über das AVM-Webinterface
 
In deinem ps kann ich nicht erkennen, dass du ein Firmware-Update angestossen hast. Da sind noch alle AVM-Daemons da. Und auch in /var/tmp liegt kein Logfile. Genauso wenig macht ein logread Sinn, wenn du den syslogd erst vorher startest...

naja und was mache ich dagegen?

ich habe es mit notebook (WLAN), pc (LAN) versucht
IE7 und FF3

gibts noch ne andere (tolle) möglichkeit das anzustoßen?

oder gibt es irgendwelche sachen in meinem aktuellen image die das verhindern?
ich habe folgende packages installiert:

die log auf der startseite des DS-MOD Webinterfaces sagt das hier:

Du sollst das Firmware-Update über das DS-Mod interface machen. Und davon die ausgabe posten.

Das Problem kenne ich auch, nur das bei mir die Box den Berg runter geht.:)
Update ohne Dienste geht ja mit Wlan nicht, daher kommt nur mit in betracht.
Sobald das Image hochgeladen wurde kommt ein Log und die Info Led Blinkt.
Das blinken ist auch noch nach 5 Minuten, sobald ich die Box dann Reboote blinkt die Power LED und darauf alle LEDS Rot Box startet immer neu.

An was dies liegen könnte, habe ich keine Ahnung SWAP von 200MB auf FAT32 HDD ist vorhanden, daher dürfte es zu keinem Speicher Problem kommen.

Wenigstens bin ich nicht der einzige, dachte schon bin ich bin zu blöd ein Update zu machen. ;)

Keine Ahnung, wieso deine Box sich beim Reboot aufhängt. Das Log _vor_ dem Neustart wäre interessant, und eigentlich ein serielles Log dazu. Dies aber wirst du mangels Konsole nicht können, denke ich.

Wieso so viel swap? Denn wirst du _nie_ im Leben verbrauchen. Ich habe irgendwann einmal wirklich meine Box gestresst und alles mögliche im Image gehabt. Hatte allerdings doch schon Schwierigkeiten, 10MB swap vollzubekommen, bevor der Watchdog die Kiste mangels Reaktion rebootet hat.
 
Was ich machen kann ist ein Log von Webinterface und eben die Logs das der User oben ab gab, die Befehle stehen ja da. ;)
Sorry aber mit Linux hab ich bisher nicht sonderlich viel gemacht, bis auf DBOX2 Umbau. Und wenn man nicht einmal Englich kann ist das ganze so eine Sache. Linux ist eben stark auf Programmierkenntnisse ausgelegt.

Vielleicht kannst mir ja den Befehl sagen um über Telnet die Gesamte Aktion zu logen.

EDIT: Und zu der SWAP, da war ich mir nicht sicher wie viel man braucht und meine FAT32 Platte ist ja groß genug. Zum anderen habe ich ja schon ohne Pakete ein RAM von 85%.............

Und wie viel swap nutzt du, auch mit deiner RAM-Auslastung? Wohl ziemlich wenig, oder?

Was die Befehle angeht: Die Boardsuche hilft. Und hat _nichts_ mit Programmierkenntnissen zu tun.
 
Hm, Swap könnte daran Schuld sein, dass die Box nicht flasht!? Schonmal ohne probiert?

SWAP steht immer auf 0 trotz derzeit 88% RAM.


Könnte ja mal Ohne SWAP (HDD) Flashen, nur gibt es da keine probs wenn die Dienste rennen ?

Ich werde das dann später mal testen wenn ich meine FW fertig habe, von trunk auf Brach ist für mich die bessere wahl. Nur irgendwie stimmen in der aktuellen Branch nicht alle Links und Patches. Zum Beispiel geht der Patch 120-no_uuid.pjproject.patch nicht muss ich den von der trunk nehmen......

Also das mit dem Swap funtzt schon.

Hab zum Freetz mal den MOD mit dem Debian auf der HDD einghängt und wenn man dort richtig arbeitet, dann füllt sich auch der Swap ordentlich. D.h. wenns speicherlastig wird, dann wird geswappt.

Dann habe ich mal die HDD in AVM getrennt und abgeschlossen, RAM laut freetz 33%

ich verstehe langsam nur nur Bahnhof, wenn HDD (SWAP) dran ist viel Ram auslastung nix in der SWAP. Wenn HDD aus ist keine SWAP sehr wenig Ram Auslastung.

EDIT: Hab jetzt noch mal getestet, die HDD an die Fritz und hohe Ram Auslastung. Sobald ich die HDD ab mache geht sie stark runter. Obwohl ja dort nichts ist was Ram frisst. Das nächste ist ein Freetz Update ohne HDD.
